Uber has introduced a new airport-only fare option, UberXXL, which promises to provide riders with vehicles that have sufficient trunk space to accommodate large families and extra luggage, including holiday gifts. This new option is available at over 60 airports worldwide, with more to be added soon.

UberXXL is positioned between UberXL and Uber Black in terms of pricing, offering a more affordable option for travelers with excess baggage. Additionally, Uber has introduced a new widget that allows users to request rides to frequently visited locations, such as work and home, directly from their iPhone's home screen.

The ride-hailing company has also expanded the availability of UberX Share rides, which offer lower rates for splitting rides with up to one other traveler, to select airports. Furthermore, a new Flight Capture feature allows users to enter their flight details and receive recommended leave times, with the option to adjust if a flight is delayed and schedule multiple stops along the way.
