Red Hat is taking its partnership with Microsoft to the next level by making two of its key products available on the Azure cloud platform. Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) and Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 8 will soon be available on the Azure Marketplace, enabling developers to streamline AI model development and modernize Java applications.
RHEL AI, designed to simplify the development and deployment of generative AI models, will be available on Azure in December 2024. This optimized and validated foundation model platform will allow developers to leverage the Granite family of open-source large language models, InstructLab model alignment tools, and a community-driven approach to model development.
Meanwhile, JBoss EAP 8, an update of the Java application server released in February 2024, will provide a pathway for Java application modernization on Azure. The server supports Jakarta EE 10 and helps address reliability, security, and compliance requirements. With availability on Azure, users can modernize application development across the hybrid cloud while leveraging Azure services.
