The influencer marketing industry has reached a staggering $250 billion in worth, with the top 10 content creators earning a combined $720 million in the past year, according to Forbes' 2024 Top Creators list. Khaby Lame, a Senegalese-Italian influencer, ranked 10th on the list, with an estimated net worth of $20 million.

The list, which features 50 honorees, showcases the exponential growth of the creator ecosystem, now estimated to be nearly 50 million people strong. American influencers dominated the top 10 list, with Khaby Lame being the only non-American to make the cut.

The report also revealed a significant increase in earnings for top social media influencers, with a total of $720 million made over the past 12 months. The combined follower count of the top creators has also grown to over 2.7 billion across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Goldman Sachs predicts that the industry will be worth nearly $500 billion by 2027, making it an attractive space for startups and entrepreneurs looking to capitalize on the growing trend of influencer marketing.

The Forbes ranking is based on estimates of each creator's gross earnings between June 2023 and June 2024, as well as their follower counts, engagement rates, and entrepreneurial activities.
