Bling Capital, a prominent seed VC firm, has closed its fourth flagship fund with a whopping $270 million in commitments. According to Kyle Lui, a general partner at Bling, about half of the fresh capital will be allocated to the firm's opportunity fund, dedicated to making follow-on investments in its most promising portfolio companies.
Founded in 2018 by Ben Ling, a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with a track record of backing successful startups like GitLab, Webflow, and Airtable, Bling Capital has established itself as a go-to partner for early-stage companies. The firm's unique approach, which includes a Product Council comprising leaders from major tech firms, has helped its portfolio companies achieve significant growth and success.
With this new fund, Bling Capital is expanding its network of advisors, adding leaders from hot startups like Notion, OpenAI, Scale AI, and Stripe. The firm has already invested in over 170 companies, including Rippling and Vise, and has a strong track record of nurturing unicorns, with 19 companies achieving this milestone under Ling's belt and at least seven under Lui's.
